Pictures and Scriptures Introduction

About two months ago I was speaking with my mom about my brother who is serving a full time mission for our church in Fresno California. She told me that just before he left he started to keep a sketch book that he would draw in when he was reading the scriptures. Since I have always enjoyed drawing she encouraged me to start one for myself. The more that I thought about the idea the more I liked it. So the next day I went to the bookstore and found a blank 200 paged leather bound notebook. I thought to myself, "Not only will this enhance my daily scripture study but it will also provide a journal-like book that I can pass down to my children."
I wasn't the best at drawing in it every day like I had planned; but, each week the collection of sketches grew. As I shared the project with close family and friends, many of them expressed to me that I should make some sort of digital copy. My wife also suggested that I write down the meaning, thoughts, and scriptures behind the each entry. She was right, so, here it is a digital copy for everyone to share.

  2. Very cool. Anything that brings us to Christ is worthwhile and I love that it's something almost everyone can relate to. Great job.

  3. Small world indeed!! Just found out your brother was in my home last week! His companion was on an exchange with elders who stay in my home (ldseldershed.blogspot.com) btw, I enjoyed reading your profile - thanks for linking it on this page, so smart. Keep drawing & posting, friend (in between homework & diaper changes :)
